Advanced QPS Filtering

Customers can utilize Advanced Filtering to filter incoming traffic on user IDs, IP addresses, and whitelists or to exclude traffic from blacklists. This powerful feature allows you to further customize the volume and nature of bid requests coming through to your bidder. Please contact your account manager if you are interested as it does carry an additional cost due to the required added infrastructure components and processes.

When Advanced Filtering is enabled for Segments, as soon as Beeswax has processed a new user/IP into your segments in the Beeswax database, we will begin sending traffic from that user/IP in real-time. All segments, regardless of whether active or inactive in Buzz, will be used for filtering.

For whitelist and blacklist Advanced Filtering, you must notify your account manager of any new lists that should be used. Upon adding new list items in Buzz to the desired list on which filtering is already set, we will begin sending traffic from the item if it is included in a whitelist and halt sending traffic if it is included in a blacklist.

Please note that regardless of your QPS filtering, you should ALWAYS use the line item to target exactly what you want to bid against. While our QPS filtering is very robust, it is not designed to act as targeting. For example, if you want to exclude domains from targeting, you should do you on your line item in addition to QPS filtering.
